I’ve never seen such a huge sale on children’s audiobooks as the one Audible is having now! It took me all morning to sort through the 1,000 books on sale to bring you the 100 books I thought were the very best. If you have any questions about a specific book, please feel free to comment below. I’ve listed the books by price ($1.95 and $3.95) and created separate lists for the series. In some cases, I have not listed every book on sale in the longer series.
How it Works
The links below will send you to Amazon. You can purchase through Amazon and do not need an Audible membership to buy or listen to the books. You will want to download the Audible app. When you log in with your Amazon account, your books will appear. Always double check the price before you buy.
This sale is so fantastic, I live in New Zealand and often the amazing specials don’t apply – but plenty of these do! Not all of them, but lots. I got echo (which I have been hanging out for since Sarah McKenzie raved about it), The one and only Ivan, Peter nimble and his amazing eyes, mercy watson to the rescue, and a magic ballerina book because my girl loves those. ❤️
Awesome! I’m so glad lots of the deals are valid internationally! 🙂 I got Echo too based on Sarah MacKenzie’s recommendation. 🙂
Wow, thank you! Just bought four more Redwall Books, HIdden Figures, and A Long Walk to Water. 🙂
I bought Hidden Figures too! I’d been wanting to check it out for my 12-year-old daughter, but our library didn’t have a copy of the young reader’s edition. I’m glad it was part of the sale! 🙂
There are actually 16 Redwall books on sale right now!
Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for doing the hardwork for us. ?
I know these are all great children’s books, but are your recommendations also based on the quality of the narrations?
That’s a great question, Gale-Ann. No, I’ve only heard a handful of these on audio. My recommendation is based on the quality of the books. However, most of these recordings are from well-known studios such as Blackstone Audio, so my guess is that most of these are very good. However, if you purchase a book and are unhappy with the audio, Audible is very good about giving refunds. I hope that helps! 🙂
As far as quality audio, I really enjoyed The Moffats, Frindle, Justin Morgan Had a Horse, Goose Girl, Chains, The Girl Who Drank the Moon, Little House in the Big Woods, Ramona the Pest, Princess Academy, Wonder, Peter Nimble, and Sophie Quire. I haven’t heard the audio of the others, but all the ones I’ve heard on this list are ones I’ve enjoyed. I hope that helps! 🙂
AWESOME. My boys (7 and 5) will be starting enforced “quiet time” in their rooms next school year, and these will be PERFECT to keep them occupied! I got
Mossflower
3 of the Tumtum and Nutmeg
The Princess and the Goblin
Thorton Burgess Bedtime Stories
Fifty Famous Stories retold
My 10-year old son’s favorite thing to do for the past few years is listen to an audiobook while playing with legos. Great quiet time activity. 🙂
Thank you for all these great sale links!!
Don’t miss The Green Ember prequel, The Black Star of Kingston, also on sale!
I also found that 16 of the 17 Redwall books on Audible are currently on sale for $3.95. Book 1 is the only audiobook that’s not discounted. (The original prices show in search results, but when you click on the individual audiobook item, it shows the discount.)
I also found at least one more Mary Poppins audiobook than was listed above, and on sale, too!
Yes! It’s great to see so many books in a series on sale! I didn’t every book in each series (there were just too many). The whole Princess Academy series is on sale as well (I only listed book one). Did you get the whole Redwall series?
We already owned books 2-5, I think it was, on Audible, so I got the rest. And then–though I couldn’t find it on my phone last night–I finally tracked down book 1 at the sale price on my computer this morning. The kids have been asking for that on Audible because they don’t like Overdrive. 🙂
Awesome! That’s a lot of hours of listening! 🙂
